Description
The Corporation of the Town of Amherstburg is recruiting for Summer Students in the Tourism Division.
Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Tourism and Culture, the Tourism Representative will service the tourists and residents who visit the center and will actively promote Amherstburg as a cultural and tourism destination. Must be available to work Open Air weekends, which operate Friday to Sunday, days and evenings. Outdoor work is required in addition to office environment work.
Individuals applying for summer student positions must meet the following criteria:
- Must be in attendance at a secondary school, college or university and must be returning to school on a full time basis in September, and provide proof of enrollment
- Must be able to start work full-time on May 1, 2023 or the first working day thereafter
- Must be able to work the entire term that was advertised
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must possess a valid Class G2 Driver’s Licence at minimum in good standing
- Must be able to provide copies of required documents (Driver’s License, Driver’s Abstract, Police Clearance, proof of enrollment in school)
