Description

The Corporation of the Town of Amherstburg is recruiting for Summer Students in the Parks Division and the Infrastructure Services Department.

Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Parks and Naturalized Areas or the Supervisor Roads and Fleet/Supervisor Environmental Services, the Summer Students in the Parks and Infrastructure Services areas perform a variety of outdoor duties in order to maintain and enhance the Town's assets.  Experience with hand and power tools is an asset.

Individuals applying for summer student positions must meet the following criteria:

  1. Must be in attendance at a secondary school, college or university and must be returning to school on a full time basis in September, and provide proof of enrollment
  2. Must be able to start work full-time on May 1, 2023 or the first working day thereafter
  3. Must be able to work the entire term that was advertised
  4. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  5. Must possess a valid Class G2 Driver’s Licence at minimum in good standing
  6. Must be able to provide copies of required documents (Driver’s License, Driver’s Abstract, Police Clearance, proof of enrollment in school)
